Collegium Musicum Fordhamense is a music ensemble dedicated to exploring and presenting music stemming from the medieval and early modern traditions, performing once or more each semester.
Drawing on a history of early music performance at Fordham stretching back to 1980, Collegium seeks to create opportunities for hands-on experimentation with early repertoire, informed by, but not beholden to, current research into historical performance styles.
Collegium is open to all members of the Fordham community (undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and administration) who are interested in performing and learning about music. Collegium is also available to undergraduate students as a performance course for credit through Fordham’s Department of Art History and Music.
Come and make music with us! Email collegium@fordham.edu with your name; voice part/instrument; musical training/ performance history, if any; and any repertoire in which you’re especially interested.
